A home is for either the larger spring mason bees or the smaller summer mason bees. Each home contains nesting holes under a protective roof.
Spring homes contain nesting material made of corn material .Summer homes contain nesting material made either from wood or corrugated cardboard.
Choose a home and hang it in your garden. For variety, choose more than one home! Be sure to place cocoons close to their new home.

Like all Beediverse poducts, the Highrise is durable, attractive, easy-to-clean and made from sustainable resources to last many summers. Lift the hinged roof to reveal a special emerging room for cocoons. When the mature bees emerge in spring, they take up residence in the nests below.
A slightly pitched roof sheds water , and the overhang protects the bees from wind, rain and hot sun. You can add our large fanciful Predator Guard to protect bees from woodpeckers and wasps.
The Highrise includes our Quicklock Corn Nesting Trays 72. Just slide out the trays in the fall for cleaning, and replace the cleaned trays ready for spring.
Nesting trays are made from environmentally friendly corn material with colours that help bees find their nests. Each tray has 6 grooves. When paired, the trays from tunnels where Mason Bees nest and lay their eggs. In the fall, pop the trays apart, and gently slide out the cocoons with our Bee Scoop.

You can hang the Chalet, or mount it on an East facing wall of a shed or building. Then watch these busy native pollinators at work in your yard or garden. An overhang at the mouth of the Chalet protects the bees from rain, wind and hot sun.

Suitable for moderate to large gardens, Mason Bee Enthusiasts
Summer Mason Bees frequent gardens between May and September.

There are many species of these smaller summer mason bees and often up to 3 species will nest in the same house. The Royal has a peaked roof and beautifully curved overhang to protect the bees from wind, rain and hot sun.
This Royal comes with our solid wood, summer nesting trays. The trays have smaller tunnels 4mm or 5-32nd inch in diameter – the size that summer mason bees prefer. Each tray has routered, lengthwise grooves. When stacked, the trays form tunnels where the bees nest and lay their eggs. You can gently pop the trays apart and for a close up look at the nests and cocoons.
Each Royal for Summer Mason Bees has an attractive Predator Guard. The Guard fits the front of the Chalet to keep woodpeckers and parasitic wasps away from your Mason Bees. Choose from yellow, black, red, or blue.

There are many different species of summer mason bees
- They are present in the garden between May to September
- After one season it is common to see that 3 different species have nested in the same house
- Each species nests for about 1 month.
Nesting trays are made out of wood and routered to make the nesting tunnels. This mason bee house is easy to take apart and clean in readiness for the following spring.
Housing is topped with a hinged cedar roof. The attic space below the cedar roof provides a sheltered room for emerging mason bee cocoons.
