There are many species of these smaller summer mason bees and often up to 3 species will nest in the same house. The Royal has a peaked roof and beautifully curved overhang to protect the bees from wind, rain and hot sun.

This Royal comes with our solid wood, summer nesting trays. The trays have smaller tunnels 4mm or 5-32nd inch in diameter – the size that summer mason bees prefer. Each tray has routered, lengthwise grooves. When stacked, the trays form tunnels where bees nest and lay their eggs. You can gently pop the trays apart and for a close up look at the nests and cocoons.

Each Royal for Summer Mason Bees has an attractive Predator Guard. The Guard fits the front to keep woodpeckers and parasitic wasps away from your Mason Bees. Choose from yellow, black, red, or blue.
